American Revolution Project
For this project in humanities we focused on the American Revolution, and were assigned to gain 5 'challenge points.' Challenge points could be gained though a myriad of projects, each one giving difference amounts of points depending on the amount of work you put into it.
Instead of doing many small projects, I decided to team up with classmates and make one group project that amounted to five points. We decided to make a lyric book that included parodies of popular songs, converted to be about the American Revolution. These songs showed our knowledge of the topic through the lyrics we wrote, and included pictures we made to represent the songs.
Below are two examples of songs written for our lyrics book that contains 12 songs. If you would like to see the rest of the songs

"Best war ever" - parody of 'best song ever'Maybe it's the way they fought (wow) straight into our land and stole it.
Through the men and past Paul (wow), just like they already owned it. He said, "watch out they’re coming" I said, "hurry let’s stand between." And we ran all night to duck and cover. We used every man. Now I can't remember Where to go but I know that I won't let them Take our land and adjust for their better. I think it went go, go, go I think they went there, there, there I think they just, ohhhh NO! Said his name was Paul Revier (wow), and he’d had one too many Woke up the entire town, screaming they’re really coming I said, "Where are those minutemen?" He said, "They’re gonna take about 10." And we ran all night to duck and cover. We used every man. Now I can't remember Where to go but I know that I won't let them Take our land and adjust for their better. I think it went go, go, go I think they went there, there, there I think they just, ohhhh NO! You know, I know, you know we’ll never follow you, And I know, you know, I know you'll punish me, [in background:] (go, go, go there, there, there) And you know, I know, you know we’ll never follow you, And I know, you know, I hope you'll fix your we finance, yeah your finance no. more. no. more. taxes. How we fought all night to hold our stances. We held every line. To help every member Now you should go but I know that you’re way too stubborn So we will we’ll fight, we’ll fight all night. (We’ll fight, we’ll fight, we will fight all NIIGHHHTTT) And we ran all night to duck and cover. We used every man. Now I can't remember Where to go but I know that I won't let them Take our land and adjust for their better. I think it went go, go, go I think it went there, there, there I think it goes oh...NO! Best war ever, it was the best war ever. It was the best war ever, it was the best war ever.
