Linear Function Project
In this small project, we focused on using everyday activities to fine linear relationships. We were put into groups of four, and challenged to create an activity that the entire class could participate in. My group, based ours around holding hands. Ours was called the hand squeeze. In the hand squeeze, you start with two people. Someone times the time it takes for one person to squeeze the others hand, and that person squeeze back. Every time, you add another person to time how long it takes for the squeeze to go around the entire circle. Below, you will find the document that we handed out to our classmates, and the questions you must complete when doing the experiment. Right under, is the same document, however I have filled out the answers. Under that, is an excel sheet with all of our imported information.
Project Reflection
Something I enjoyed in this project what the freedom of choice. We were allowed to base our activity on anything we wanted, so the project was more fun. One disadvantage was the fact, that we didn't know it if was going to be linear until we actually tested it. So, we had to make our best assumption.
